Tenet Furniture is a small family-run business based in rural East Sussex. We are trained joiners and cabinet makers with a love of natural form, furniture design, and a passion for beautiful timber.

We offer a selection of beautiful live edge and natural edge tables, designed and made by us in our East Sussex workshop. Some of these are still available to purchase ready-made in our shop, or you can purchase through our Etsy shop. Live-edge and planed timber slabs

For any tabletop

We have a stunning collection of live edge and natural edge timber slabs from local and sustainable sources in many sizes and varieties. We choose our natural edge slabs carefully based on their shape, grain, and environmental credentials. We can book-match live edge and natural edge slabs for larger tabletops.

We also source some of the finest exotic slabs in the world, direct from our suppliers in South America. Committed to Fair Trade and strict ethical practices, we only import from countries with the highest environmental credentials.

Slab finishing service

Slab finishing service

For an additional price, we are very happy to finish the piece you choose. This will include sanding to 240 grit, sealing, and then oiling.  We will seal and oil both sides for stability and finish to a matt satin or gloss finish as desired. Bow ties, epoxy, and filling are also available upon request.

Designed and made by us these stunning legs just need the perfect slab or top to create amazing furniture. They range from coffee table to dining table size and come in a selection of beautiful finishes and patinations to enhance the wood top and your interior. We make and sell a variety of dining and coffee tables but also sell the legs - both wishbone, and stiletto - separately.
